It is a privilege to welcome you to this Two-Day International Seminar on “Artificial Intelligence
for Skill Development in Developing Countries,” with a dedicated focus on the transformation of
teacher education and classroom practices.
When we discuss AI in developing regions, we often focus on tech industries. But the truest,
most lasting impact of AI happens right here—in the classroom. The student-teachers of our B.
Ed. program and the practicing educators in this room are the architects of the future. The skills
we impart today will define the generation of tomorrow.
In developing nations, teachers often face distinct challenges: overcrowded classrooms, a
shortage of personalized learning materials, and immense administrative workloads. Artificial
Intelligence offers us an incredible opportunity to solve these problems. It is not about replacing
the teacher; it is about empowering the teacher. AI can help us:
Generate localized, high-quality lesson plans in seconds.
Create adaptive learning tools for students with diverse learning speeds.
Reduce administrative paperwork so teachers can spend more time doing what they do
best—mentoring and inspiring minds.
Over the next two days, our B. Ed. students will have the unique opportunity to learn from
international delegates who are pioneering digital pedagogy across the globe. To our future
teachers: embrace these tools. Learn how to use AI responsibly, ethically, and creatively.
